He died of a traumatic head injury and his wife reported that his last words before dying were: "This didn't happen to me. This happened for me."
Even as he died, he made the choice to accept that experience positively. I find that deeply inspiring, and something I want to take on and practice in my own life. "Dropping down out of that (pitying, critical) mind and into your heart."
