Bernard Wishnia it seems the game is big money and if the athletes / students in their spare time on the side are employees they should be compensated as such and be allowed to cash in on their fame. I agree. But my larger point and the court said it wasn’t their place and I agree is that the rules and incentives that allow the big money game to exist in the first place seem wrong. They should be geared towards those people being students first and then play sports on the side given the opportunity and circumstances of a school having a population of people to draw upon to build a team.
